Join us at the Essex Resort and Spa at 10:00 am (EST) on Friday, February 6th, for a day of learning and networking! The seminar, "Antifreeze for Sprinkler Systems," will be led by John Denhardt.
This presentation will provide an in-depth discussion on the requirements for antifreeze when used in sprinkler systems. A brief history of antifreeze in the standards will be reviewed, followed by an overview of the listing and installation requirements. In addition, the fluid characteristics of antifreeze will be discussed, specifically the effect on hydraulics based on viscosity and expansion of the liquid. The presentation will conclude with an overview of the inspection, testing, and maintenance requirements for antifreeze and alternative options for the replacement of nonlisted antifreeze.
